be careful what you wish for

I remember distinctly saying, while standing in a bathroom line approximately 30 minutes long at San Diego Comic Con, that I would be happy to pay more for a ticket if it meant they would limit the number of attendees. They just announced that this year, the 4 day Comic Con pass is going to be $75. Per person. Wow. I think we paid $45 each 4 years ago, and $55 last year. Crazy. The worst part is that they will probably still sell out the convention to 125,000 people and it will be just as horribly crowded as last year.

Let's just all cross our fingers that in 2008 they'll be a bit more organized and anticipate the massive crowds better. And that the Connie Willis panel will be really under attended so she'll just hang out and talk with me for an hour about writing science fiction.
