A Wrongful Death by Kate Wilhelm

A Wrongful Death by Kate Wilhelm. 2007. Adult fiction. Suspense. 345 pages.

I've long been a fan of Wilhelm's Barbara Holloway series, and this one picks up very near to where the previous one left off. Famed attorney Barbara Holloway is contemplating several things-her relationship with Darren, his recent marriage proposal, and whether or not to continue practicing law. She takes a vacation on the coast to spend time thinking everything through but is pulled into yet another mystery when she stumbles upon a wounded woman and child in a remote area. This book breaks from the typical setup of Barbara dealing with a mystery because of a case, since in this novel the case follows the mystery.
There are a few nice surprises in this novel, and any fan of Barbara Holloway will be excited to read this installment of the legal series.
