When Clowns Attack

The Clapotis pattern is a work of true beauty. Go. Take a look at it. I'll wait. See the elegance? The modern drop stitch effect? The carefree, happy go lucky drape?

That is not what my Clapotis looks like.

This is what it looks like.

My Clapotis looks like I was attacked by a roving band of clowns who replaced my mint green yarn with bright pink yarn, and then drove away laughing in their tiny car. And I did this on purpose, people. On purpose! I had a whole skein of this green acrylic baby yarn that I was never going to use for babies (never again am I making baby garments out of sport weight) and decided to make a practice Clapotis. And then I ran out of yarn. There was no way I was buying more acrylic, so I cleverly substituted pink sport weight acrylic. And the rest is history. This shall never be seen anywhere outside of my house. And I guess, on the Internets. But I won't be wearing it other than to nap on the couch.
